Elder McConkie
Hey yall here is the other week email. We had elder mcconkie come visit us, it really was a life changing experience. Switched the perspective on everything, we talked about finding the needle in the heystack and what that takes, how in-tune we have to be with the Holy Ghost. We talked about speaking of the language of revelation. It's got grammar rules just like any other language and it takes time and practice to learn. And just like with any language there are billions of people who go through life not knowing this language, and very few who speak it fluently. We talked about how that is something we have to change. I have spent my entire mission working to learn how to feel the spirit how to recognize it and how to help others recognize it in their lives. I feel that as a teacher I'm not too great, but as long as I can say the words God wants me to say and the spirit is there, I know the spirit will touch their hearts and teach them. But Elder McConkie took it one farther he had us improve the way we feel the spirit by describing it and putting it into words (which I'll be honest is pretty hard) But it worked. That is my goal for the rest of my mission and the rest of my life is to help others to open up their minds and hearts to the language of revelation, so that they can feel God's true love and understand what he is trying to communicate to them. This gospel is true. If you aren't a member, if you are and have fallen away, or if you are just having a struggling moment. God is real, Jesus Christ lives, if we haven’t made covenants with Him, make them. If we have, keep them. And if we have broken them, repent and fix them. This is a gospel for all, it is the gospel of joy. All are welcome. You too Will. I love you buddy and I love you all.
