Love for Christ

So this week, well technically last 2 weeks has been lit we made a ton of new friends and had the baptism of Tahiel, set a fecha with another friend and found a ton of miracles.

This week was pretty special. I got to go to the temple on Tuesday and I sure learned a lot. But the biggest lesson I was taught by the spirit was just to drop my pride. I think my entire life I've been on a cycle of wanting to be better, getting better, becoming too prideful, choosing to focus more on others and helping them, I lose my sight on why I wanted to help them, I start comparing myself to others and I go right back to wanting to get better. But it's a process that blesses few and certainly as I've learned on the mission, isn't the Savior’s way. And because of that process it has become very hard for me to trust others at times. Especially when it comes to working, I like to do it on my own. You can ask anyone I’m not very great at working with others because if I do then I start comparing myself, and that whole cycle runs again. I think because of that I have always tried to hop out of the cycle by staying away from others at times, instead of facing it head on and learning to change and growing. It's not easy to get out of and it doesn't go away with one simple email, but I hope by the end of this time I can learn to really have my motivation focused on my love for Christ, my love for my family and my love for others. So that I can be a help to others, rather than a burden, and so at the end of the day I can feel peace instead of pride.

It was quite the week, but I loved this quote from the prophet Ezra Taft Benson that my mom sent me a while back.
President Ezra Taft Benson-
“Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He will deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, raise up friends, and pour out peace. Whoever will lose his life in the service of God will find eternal life.”

I love y'all, keep going, growing and enjoying the ride. Miss y'all!
