Staying in Sevilla
We just got transfer calls and looks like I get to stay here in Sevilla another round. I mean I'm down, didn't ever think I would get one more here but now I will have been in this part of our mission for over a year, i mean i'm andalu through and through I guess. It's funny cause our last interview president told that we had been in that same room doing that same interview now for over a year, then asked where I wanted to go next. But I guess God has other plans. I'm excited to see what happens. But this is the last week of our president and his wife's mission. Its crazy to say. They really have become like my second parents here in the mission and have been huge examples for me. Life really is about what you go through together and man it's only been a year and a bit, but we've been through a freaking ton. Highs, lows, crazy situations I never thought I would see or be a part of. I'm grateful for all of it and all they have taught me.Intercambios with cordoba
Got pretty sick but we important meetings we had to go to, got to see as God touched people's souls as I was barely able to do anything. Found 4 new friends
Put 4 of our friends on date
In the sacrament meeting my comp and I had to sit with our friends separated but after singing the hymns the bishop announced that we were going to have a baptismal service and both our friends leaned to us and asked if they could be baptized too!! Miracles!
Bruce came to church!!!!!!! Oh my gosh its hard to understand what this moment meant for me. Bruce is my age and has a mom and a dad. His dad is in the hospital and has been pretty bad and his parents are separated and don't talk very much. His mom and him are members, but she went inactive 5 years ago and he's never made it back since. But yesterday he made it back! When he walked in everyones heads shot up they all were so happy to see him and to have him back. There was a lot of tears and hugs and wow what that moment meant for everyone. He did it all on his own too, which I know was not easy. He really wants to go on a mission now so I'm praying for him to have that opportunity.
Talmage is leaving :(( he goes back to Utah to be with his family, I don't know if I have talked about Talmage but he is the best. He is 14 from Utah living here on his own to play soccer and comes to church every Sunday on his own walking 40 minutes to the church. Man was raised different, but we already said when we get back we are going to see each other there in Utah.
I learned a lot about how revelation worked this week. Elder Bednar spoke on this before and said that, ‘A single prompting is rarely enough to get an answer. It is usually a sequence of promptings that we need in order to receive our answers.’ I think that a prompting is not an answer, it's a landmark in a map leading you to your destination, that's why it's sometimes important to look back at the map to see the big picture of where you have been, to then know where you need to be. (That's why journal's are so important I think) Also learned that almost no answer will come until after the trial of your faith. The prompting leads us to do something, we do it acting in faith, we see the result, and we continue looking for the answer. As we continue to do this we will grow closer to the Lord and see more through his eyes instead of our own. Anyways that was a lot, you know sick weeks just are that way.
Love ya'll
