His work, His way, His love

Heyyy, Sorry I've been slacking my mom has been doing good on keeping me up to date and making sure i write the emails so here is one today. Well the mission has been going amazing. We had our friend Luis get confirmed this past Sunday, and we broke another record here in Spain as a mission. It's crazy seeing so many lives changed, and so quickly and others so slowly but igual that change will stay in their hearts forever.

I ate week old meat and didn't end up throwing up, Elder Reidhead and i found 8 new friends in one day, Manuel and Manuel 2 both got put on date to be baptized. Both are Spaniard too!!!
Akiro shared his testimony in church and it really hit me. He has strengthened my testimony more than anything in this new area. He shared that he had a lot of questions going into the conference, about his family and life and that in the very first talk it answered all of it.

The Fair here just started and I have now learned that there is a reason they don't have school this week for the Fair. Apparently its the biggest one in all of Spain. We woke up a bit early at 6 to go to pick up a friend to go to church and it seemed like we were catching everyone on the back end of their party. And that was only the first night, by the end of 8 straight nights of this they have to be walking like zombies out here.

But off of the dumb party life I learned a lot this week from going back over the general conference talks. One is that life is full of joy and blessings, and to receive those blessings we have to follow Christ's example.

Integrity is what I'm working on the most now. Integrity is the foundation of everything and when it's got cracks its hard to support any other characteristics of Christ. If someone has integrity then it can't be bought by a price but rather it stands no matter what. Christ stood for what he believed and what he knew to be true. When all others shamed him he looked at the will of his Father and stayed on course. Many others who have had great integrity have done the same with aligning their wills with God's. I hope that during this mission I can change and grow in the gospel, I know I've got an eternity of stuff to learn but I hope maybe I can in the end say that I did His work, His way, with His love. One can dream and one can work. I hope I can begin to become both.

Miss everyone!

Love y'all!!

Elder Larkins
