Día de los payasos borrachos

This week was a bit difficult. We were working with our members and our friends but we got to a point or a limbo that we didn't want to be in. That's why we put our focus on the members so that they could have a great Halloween activity, sorry día de los muertos (I don't want Zaida our relief society president to kill me), but of course here in Spain you think of one thing when you hear día de los muertos. And that's the movie Coco. (To me, a little racist but hey it's okay) We went almost all weekend to help them clean the chapel, and decorate because everyone knows I'm the best decorator. It was fun, but who knew that God was going to bless us so much.

First, 3 men in costumes showed up to the activity and talked to us, it was clear they were not members and had drank a little too much.(turned out one of the uncles is a (ex)member) But, it was 2 uncles from jerez and a nephew and the nephew was from Tennessee! And he was very cool, and very Catholic, luckily I have a little bit of experience with Catholics now in my life, seems wherever I go. His uncles weren't the good catholic type tho, I stood there for 10 minutes listening to these 2 tell me how Mary is the christ and one was dressed as a killer clown, so we kindly escorted them to the exit. But the nephew and I are good friends now. Hopefully we will hang out with him on the american base here sometime soon.

Second, there were 15 people who were not members of the church. A woman greeted us and told us that she wants her daughters to be baptized, so we're going to meet them this week. The mother is less active and we hope that the whole family can be reactivated in the church. Pray for them, please.

Third, our friend Dan came to the activity! Some members decided to pick him up and take him to the activity. I love him so much, I hope that one day soon everyone will be able to be there for his baptism.

Fourth, a friend wrote to us and said he wants to be baptized. And maybe his kids too. Let's see if we can work more with that family to make the baptisms happen.

I've had luck with this area. I'm thankful to be here in jerez and to be here on the mission seeing all the miracles I've seen. I couldn't be happier.

Miss y'all !

Os quiero !!
