Life is Flying By

Life is just flying by. But this week got to meet a couple new people over all of the world and hear their view on religion. And I've seen the importance of Christ in our lives. A lot of people are pretty rattled here with the war going on and the lesson of hope that we get to share with them, I can't even explain it it's different kind of joy feeling the spirit that strong.

Milagro: So we got to visit with the first ever converts in the zone of cadiz. They are some of the most faithful people I have ever met, and man do they love missionary work. They taught us the importance of loving and working with the members and doing activities! But that's not what I wanted to share when all the missionaries showed up the couple welcomed us all in and we went up to their apartment but as everyone was going up I saw the wife fall while she was going up the stairs at that point everyone had gone up and the first she thinks to do is to move out of the sight of all the other missionaries, moves her leg a little bit, stands up and moves around a little bit clearly in a lot of pain and tells me, "i'm good, don't you tell them anything they got missionary work to worry about." Then she gets up there and teaches of her love for missionaries and even more so for the savior and his gospel. I will say here in spain the mission work is impossible to do without the members. You wouldn't have one baptism without these members. And I can only imagine it's close to the same result in other countries.

Pensamiento: Our mission president actually was talking about, how can we ask members to do the same thing that we would never do before the mission in our lives? How can we expect them to do it? Well the answer he gave was simple: you've learned, now change, and follow God's plan, and if you truly do that the members will be able to see that in you, then they can make the choice, or not, for themselves to be a part of it. I'm grateful for every single one of the members here in our ward. It's obviously easy for me to say now as a missionary, but the work is not only about the missionaries, it's about every single son and daughter of God in the gatherings of Israel. We all are a part of it. Mom I baked your cookies and now your cookies are famous in jerez.

Miss y'all! Os quiero!!
