Importance of Covenants

How's everyone doing?? This week flew by again don't really know where the time went. We are just working and working and it had been really cool to see miracles happen in our ward! Hopefully I can remember all of them, it's true when they say write all your miracles in a journal cause you will have too many.

The past Sunday I wanted to share a story of this lady named Betty in our ward. She lives in a little pueblito (small town) in our area but really not in our area cause without a car there is no way to get there. Not even my mom could get there running. So I would say it's far. The town is called Bullas. It's over an hour driving in car and I have only been able to visit there once. But we had been praying that we could somehow get these members living there to church. So we started a zoom so at least they can watch it. Then we show up on Sunday and this lady walks in who I have never met before. She says she is a member and lives in Bullas! We hadn't even texted her! But she said she wanted to come and renew her covenants so she talked with our relief society president about coming in 2 buses the night before to be able to stay at her house. Then come with them to church on Sunday and then she would take 2 buses back to bullas! So looks like we gotta make that walk to bullas to be able to meet with her if she is willing to do that. The importance of covenants has grown for me on this mission. The blessings we can receive are amazing and have seen as our members have been blessed as they hold on to them.

Miracle:

So I have a million this week, but I'll share about this one meeting we had with one of our friends who wants to be baptized. She had told us she was having doubts because of her previous relationship with the catholic church. So we said we would come by later that day and talk about it. Then when we got there everything was kind of going sideways until we watched a video of a talk by Elder Holland. And he answer all her questions, then her old friend that was a bishop called her mom and talked with her too about the importance of the baptism and the blessing it is to have the Holy Ghost. Let's just say after her mom who is already a member talking to her and explaining it to her more she was pretty ready to go. So we are still praying for her, but also very excited for her opportunity to be baptized.

Scripture of the Week2 Nephi 31:19-20

There is so much more for us to do and so many more blessings for us to receive. Blessings for our individual selves and for our families that I certainly don't want to waist.

Miss everyone!

Love y'all!!
